What does higher intelligence in the G/IQ sense actually correspond to in real life? I have difficulty making a mental model of it. Are people thinking "faster" or multiple levels of thought at once? Or is there something qualitatively different about the thoughts they are having?
I don’t know! Naively it seems to be something more than just “thinking faster” since it’s not like it just takes IQ 75 people twice as long to quantum physics as IQ 150 people but it seems more like they can’t learn it at all. But for all I know there could be some complicated thing where if you think faster you can hold more thoughts in your head before each one decays, and so you can combine thoughts better.
